His work has consistently reflected a commitment to professional journalism, editorial integrity, and informed public discourse.
The appointment marks an important step in the continued growth and development of The Diplomat Nepal, Nepal’s exclusive magazine dedicated to diplomacy and foreign affairs, as it expands its editorial footprint and strengthens its position as a platform dedicated to diplomacy, international affairs, governance, public policy, sustainable development, business, and regional cooperation.
Under Mr. Luitel’s editorial leadership, The Diplomat Nepal will continue to uphold the principles of independent, balanced, and responsible journalism. Mr. Luitel was officially welcomed to take office by Amb. Dr. Sarmila Parajuli Dhakal, the President of the Ambassadors Club Nepal, International Relations and Global Diplomacy Dialogue (IRGDD), and The Diplomat Nepal magazine, amid a ceremony held at the Ambassadors Club office based in Bishalnagar, Kathmandu.
“It is our pleasure to entrust the editorship of The Diplomat Nepal to Mr. Guna Raj Luitel, the senior journalist with wide range of experience in Nepal’s media fraternity, extensive editorial experience and understanding of both national and international affairs,” Dr. Sarmila said. “I am confident that under his leadership the magazine will continue to grow to further enhance Nepal’s soft power and diplomacy.”
Thanking Amb. Dr. Sarmila Parajuli Dhakal for the opportunity to contribute to further development and enrichment of the magazine, Mr. Luitel said he will work together with the team to further enhance the reputation of the prestigious magazine.
